FB B&W Challenge

Last week, I was nominated by my co- Starbucks Collector to do a Facebook Challenge. #fivedayblackandwhitechallenge
Knowing that I love taking pictures especially when we have our meet-ups, she gave asked me to post 1 Black & White picture per day for the next 5 days and nominate another person to do the same.

It goes like this:

Day <Day #> Black and White Photo Challenge
<"TITLE OF YOUR PICTURE">
I was nominated by <name of person who nominated you> to take the challenge. For 5 days, I will be sharing 1 black and white photo each day while nominating another person to do the same. Just for fun.
Today, I nominate <person you nominate> to take the challenge.

Since I like challenges, I gladly grabbed the opportunity to show some of my shots.
Here they are.

Day 1 "JUST SMILE"

This photo was taken same day of the challenge. I hurriedly (like there's time limit) took out my camera and grab that cute little stress ball that always makes me smile... and SHOOT then post. DONE hehe

Day 2 "Unpainted Ladies"
2nd day photo was taken and Greenbelt during my Bro family day at Chili's. Not sure of the house design but it reminds me of Starbucks San Francisco card Painted Ladies. This one's B&W thus the title. (very creative thinking don't you think? LOL)

Day 3 "ESCOLTA"

Shot taken last year during my Binondo walking tour. Walking from Intramuros to Binondo, I need to cross Jones Bridge and saw this Escolta river ride that I never tried.

Day 4 "TEA TIME"

I was never a fan of teas actually, so note that not all chinese likes tea! This shot reminds me of a sumptuous meal I had w/ a wonderful friend (and her friends) at Van Gogh Is Bipolar. Everything that's there amuses me. From the ceiling, doors, decorations, and let's not forget the work of art delicious meal. Recommended place to dine.
Note: Reservation needed.
Check out their FB page at https://www.facebook.com/vgibipolar

Day 5 "HATRED"

Reason for it's title is that I really hate smoking! Taken at Starbucks in Timog area. I used to remember that Starbucks supported no smoking, it was a big step for a good cost. Of course, not all customer was in favor of that but at least the company tried doing something.
A habit of mine is when I see a cigar butt on the floor that smokes, I'll always make a way to step on in! (wish I could do the same while people are still smoking it - kidding!).
There you have it.. 5 simple B&W shots I took that I shared to my Facebook friends :)
Up until now, B&W challenge is still circulating with some of my friends, something new to see other than selfies and group selfies. hehe

ABC - About Beach, Chill!!

Seriously, I never imagined myself blogging..
Well.. except when I promised myself that I would when I got a decent camera, which I did 2 years ago.
Now, here I am struggling on what to share.

So I asked a good friend for an idea and guess what.. she wants me to write anything about BEACH? (girl!!! summer is so over!).

Right then, without any second thought, I decided to share my most memorable beach experience that dates back summer 2010. (For #TBT).

Coron, Palawan

From Wikipedia, "Coron is a first class municipality in the province of PalawanPhilippines, comprising the eastern half of Busuanga Island, all of Coron Island and about 50 other minor islets stretching as far as Tara Island in the northeast and Canipo Island in the south."

But all we guys need to know about is that wanted to relax and see some beaches!!
Since it's 4 years ago, pardon me for missing some details of the trip.

On with our adventure!

Lazy person depends on friends so, ticket booking and hotel accommodation + tour were all taken care of by my friends. THANK YOU Glyrford :)
As far as I could remember, we had a morning flight that ranges around 7-8am, that's how lazy I am that I can't wake up for an earlier flight.

We had a safe flight thus this writing is possible. Fetched from the airport by our hotel...

Coron Villlage Lodge

It was a decent place to stay where our room is across the street to their dining area. We checked in, left our bags and go straight to an early lunch! FOOD!!!

Just enough time after a meal to rest for awhile then on again for a 1st day hectic island hopping.
Now.. we had 4 days there and I really really really can't remember which took place which day and what went after the other. I still wish you appreciate these.

Here's some of the amazing view we witnessed.

Trying hard!

WARNING!!!

Next picture have "UMAY" factor! See it at your own RISK!

Photo bomber BRUNO

One of the must visit there was the Kayangan Lake. It's a 10 minute trekking up a rocky stairs with some twist to see the best view of the lake, a pretty good exercise I must say. Every step is an effort yet every step is also worth it to see this amazing serene.
TIP: Put ample amount of mosquito repellents!

Clear waters, wonderful rock formation.

After which,  just go down the beach and swim your heart out!

Another memorable adventure we had was conquering the killer 700+ steps of Mt. Tapyas.
Before the climb

100th step!!!

We had our picture taken up to the 300th step but lost our will to continue taking picture coz we're tired hehe but never did we surrender to reach the top!!!! A local kid selling water around 400-500th steps helped us. That gave us the will to continue walking up those endless steps. That kid is super! He's carrying bottled waters and went up to the top with us, EFFORTLESSLY! Nevertheless, we reached the top just in time to see the sunrise.

The cross in the summit of Mount Tapyas

There's a song about Tapyas by the locals that instantly became our favorite, heck! We were singing it during our dinner time!

One of my favorite was the Hot spring moment. It's the soul reason why we are there, to have our ultimate relaxation, away from the toxicity of Metro.
OK???

If you really love the ocean, you'll really love Coron. We spent so much time in the ocean travelling one island to another. Good thing there's some soda and sandwich that our hotel prepared for our long trip.

I can't recall the names of the other beaches we went, there's CYC, Banana Island and Bulog Beach.

What I can remember is this beach / Island.

Malcapuya Island - ** Jay
I remember this day where only 4 of us went to this island, apparently one of our friend had an injury during the Skeleton Wreck adventure when he kicked the tip of the sunken ship!

Poor kid

Here are some of the views at MALCAPUYA island.

For our gift "pasalubong", we opt to see and get the fresh ones.

"casoy"

Ending our trip, we went to a nearby store to buy something when we are greeted by this fella.
Hello brother!

..and all he wanted to say is "COME BACK SOON! Thank you for not putting me in a cage together with that crazy person over there!"

I really wish we could go back there again.. the question is WHEN???!!!??
